This is the Apache Trail. It is a rugged 45 mile route stretching from Apache Junction to the Roosevelt Dam. Some of it is paved…much of it is not and it is not a journey for those with recent spinal fusions. This is not a technical trail, OnXOffroad rates it a 2…but that doesn’t apply to all vehicles as was learned by the driver of a semi-truck who attempted to follow his GPS down the washboard and across the narrow bridge that is out of sight just behind my 4Runner in this photo. Hopefully a lesson learned.

Like most of the country, I was horrified at the recent killing of a fellow critical care nurse in Minnesota. To my fellow nurses. Try not to let despair and anguish over this event sap you of the strength you bring to every day. It took 6-7 armed agents to stop one Nurse from protecting a fellow human. There are 22,000 ICE Agents in this country…………………..there are over 4 Million of us. We will never stop caring for others.
