Headed toward Wisconsin on a roadtrip to see friends and family I had planned to try and avoid severe weather [a storm chaser I am not] to keep on schedule and avoid damage to my car or me. This single cloud burst outside of Holbrook Arizona, however, seemed quite distant and pretty tame and while I really wanted to get to my destination quickly I took some time shooting it in hopes of getting a decent shot of the concentrated rain with the sunset behind it. I didn’t get to my hotel until 130am the next morning but I counted the time as well spent.
