The storied fountain in Fountain Hills was at one time the biggest fountain, spraying water up to 560 feet in the air. The fountain is currently the third largest fountain in the world and came to be as a way to attract prospective residents to the community which was developed on the grounds of a cattle ranch in the 1970’s.
