The goal, as I see it, is to get out in nature, find a great spot to take pictures from and come home excited about a good frame or even a good series of frames. While this does happen sometimes it is also very common for me to hike or drive out to a spot and spend an evening taking photos but not be all that excited about what I’ve captured. In this case an evening out at the lake with a friend where I thought we might get a fantastic sunset didn’t pan out so I went home dumped the photos and moved on. A second look, now months later, and this frame caught my eye. This is why I generally keep every frame I shoot, just in case.
