I wish I could say I tracked this deer over miles, or sat patiently for hours to get this one shot. The truth of the matter is I was walking the path back from Lockett Meadow, not particularly paying much attention, when this deer jumped the path 15 feet in front of me with 3 other deer. They hung around just long enough for me to get my camera up and then took off again. There have been times where detailed planning or hours of patience have paid off for me. This was just dumb luck.
